Hip-Hop School Scotland

“Hip-Hop is a conscience not a CD”

Formed in 2005 by a Hip-Hop recording artist M.C. aka Millennium Child. The Hip-Hop school teaches the creative arts of Hip-Hop dancing, Rap/Song-writing, Street Poetry, Graffiti, Music making & DJ workshops.

We are a non-profit gain organization open to those wishing to express themselves as an individual and as a member of a group. We also teach in schools (both primary & secondary) and community centres all around the North-East of Scotland. We also put on shows for young people to show off what they have learned in front of their family and friends but more importantly in front of their peers.
This gives them a chance to improve their confidence, express themselves and show they can achieve whatever they put their mind to as long as they are willing to work hard for it. The shows are also usually used to raise money for charities. These charities are chosen by the young people. Some of the young people who started with us grew into young responsible adults and return to help teach the younger ones at the Hip-Hop SCHOOL (the art of giving back).

Community

Over the last 10-15 years M.C. has been teaching in schools & community centres all over the country. Especially in the Northeast his Hip-Hop dancing, djing, rap and recently song writing workshops have been a big success & has seen a major change in the youngsters. He teaches young people from the age of 4 - 34. M.C. started his Hip-Hop school over a decade ago which takes in Dance / Djing / Rap / Song writing / Music making workshops.
