M.C. aka the Millennium Child, Lyrical
M.C., Skillz, Alot, Boy wonder, Incre etc. Whatever you know
him as, he has probably done it all. From being a actor, dancer,
producer, dj, rapper, poet, journalist, teacher, biochemist
(yeah its true).
These are the things that make M.C. M.C. He has been rapping for almost
two decades and he his also a trained street dancer (b-boy). Been dancing
since he was 4years old. After djing and promoting shows for almost a
decade with Tha' Flava and other various company he decided it was time
to think about the bigger picture.
Time to put Scotland on the map for urban music. Refusing to
believe Scotland cant do what England or America does musically.
M.C has been involved musically somehow whether it be promoting,
interviewing (exclusive) or doing shows with the likes of Radio
1 Tim Westwood, Chris Goldfinger, Dreem Teem or other celebrities
such as Jazzy Jeff, Public Enemy, Snoop Dogg, Spooks, G-Unit,
Arrested Development, Jamelia, Fugees and the list goes on.
He also recently released his debut single independently, which
has sold over 17,000 copies, making it the biggest selling independent
Hiphop single for 2004. He is currently in the studio recording
his album. He was part of the revolution for urban music in
Scotland and that's OFFICIAL!!! This days many call themselves
king, queen, and oh yeah Legend, yeah right. M.C. is a genuine
Scotland legend. It's been 10 years since he stepped in the
club scene and change the game. Bringing his blend of Hiphop,
RnB, reggae, and dancehall to the nation. Hiphop magazine calls
it a blend of fresh air. He has played in every major city in
Scotland, from starting off at Glasgow, to Aberdeen, to Edinburgh
and then Dundee. In Glasgow played at the legendary club called
Venue (now called G2), one of the first club to start playing
urban music in Glasgow and then Velvet rooms now called blanket.
He was also responsible for restoring the legendary Mambo Club
in Edinburgh and then came up to Aberdeen to join forces with
Flyboy to form Tha' Flava and the rest of it is history. Now
When you ask him about been a legend, he'll say NO WAY "Funkmaster
Flex, Westwood, Goldfinger, Jazzy Jeff are legends, M.C. is
just a hard working brother". |
